To manage the plugins within the mod manager, you would also need to transfer all mod related folders and files within the mod manager after installing the mod manager on the target computer.

This should carry over the information that tells the mod manager 'hey, I installed this so I can uninstall this if need be'įor a virtualization mod manager install setup (i.e. The loadorder, plugin and other text files found in the AppData sub folders related to the correct version of Skryim.įor a non-virtualization mod manager install setup:

I have not actually done this, so please make sure that you do not delete anything from the old computer until confirmed working on the target computer. Once again, thanks for your suggestions, greatly appreciated! Hopefully someone else might find this useful if they thinking about doing something similar.Off the top of my head, transferring the following should get you in the right direction AFTER having installed and initially ran the game on the target computer. I did however copy all the INI files for FO4, FO3 and Skyrim to another HDD, just incase the verification would change them to fresh ones, only started and played FO4 so far but couldn't see any changed in game, played for a couple hours last evening and it all worked fine for me. All mods still showing and working once starting up the game. Once there, when I first started NMM it did the Rescan Installed Games, found most of those I have on the new location, but for FO4 it found the copied folder first so just had to click on the red X until the right path showed then confirm the location and all worked fine starting it up. Once I done that, I thought since I don't have to many mods for Fallout 4 and Witcher 3 (the only one that I am using Nexus Mod Manager for) I just thought I take a chance and copy the Nexus folder over to the SSD. Just start the game, Steam does a download/verification of the content and then starts the game. Since then, it has been an invaluable source of income for the site that has allowed us to continue to host our services, hire staff, create NMM and Vortex, expand to over 1,300 more games and give back to mod authors via our Donation Points. Thanks for your suggestions guys, much appreciated !Ī friend of mine asked why I didn't just checked Steam before asking so I did, was more or less similar to what you adviced me on though.Īlthough, no need to uninstall any games after moving it all. Nexus Mods first started offering Premium Membership as an option to users all the way back in 2007.
